A sense of security...?
Last Friday after parent conferences I took the dogs for a surprise mid-day walk. It turns out that sandbag installation was in full swing down on the banks of the river.
This is not exactly a comforting feeling... it's like someone saying "our neighborhood is safe, but wear this bulletproof vest just in case." And in case you're wondering, flood insurance? Not fun.
