First two old planes flew around. They were parked next to the airport so they taxied right by us:
Then the Blue Angels took off:
We couldn't see most of the show since it was on the other side of the hill, but before they landed they did a fly-by:
The Blue Angels are always cool, but it was pretty awesome to be RIGHTTHERE when they took off and landed. One more thing I can check off my to-do list of life.

Aaron was in HEAVEN today. His friend Steve (air traffic controller) gave them the skinny on the best place to see everything up close -- it was pretty impressive. And now all night I've heard things like, "You know they fly only eighteen INCHES apart at 500 miles per hour."
We got to see them too. Since we arrived late, we illegally parked on a hill and stood in the back of the truck. The Angels came up over the back of the hill and turned RIGHT over us. I could see the decals on their helmets!
