Scarves up!

I finally got to go to my first Sounders game last week! Yey! The weather was perfect and I had procured the all-important scarf in time for the game so I was ready to cheer on my team on to victory over the Colorado Rapids.

We started out with noodles and dumplings from Shanghai Garden in Chinatown (or the International District, as it is more properly called now). That was some goooood food. I don't care whether it's "real" Chinese food or not, it's good!

From there, we walked over to Qwest Field and were greeted by the Sounders marching band.

We were met by a sign reminding us to keep it clean:

This is the general admission cheering section behind the goal. The call themselves the "Brougham End" in the tradition of the great British teams, the idea being that this is where the hardcore fans sit.

These are the flags of the Gorilla F.C., supporters of the Sounders:

Oh yeah, there was a soccer game too.

Yey! New Merrill flip-flops in Sounders green! They match my jersey. Not much else, but that's okay.

Final score! (Sounders 3, Rapids 1)

those are some complicated looking flip flops....how many straps and dodads are there?

They're leather and neoprene to keep it tight on the foot. The strap cinches it on and keeps it from making it an annoying flip-flop sound. They are SUPER comfy!
