Obligitory snow post

So yeah, you've probably all seen snow before. But I'm from Seattle, where every year it's "OMG snow!" And then we then we take pictures to document the momentous occasion. Evidence of this phenomenon can be seen in various CookBook's Book posts. Add this one to the list.

For some reason snowy weather makes me want to crochet. I get all ambitious and want to follow some new pattern. This is when I realize that despite having known how to crochet for as long as I can remember, I can't actually read crochet patterns (you may remember this from the hat experience of '09). As a result, I try to wing it, my projects turn into a tangled mess, I get frustrated and I quit until the next snow day.

Just like Hat '09, I've turned to the internet for guidance on my new project.  Here's what I have done as of 9:30 pm tonight:

Any guesses as to what it is? Hint: It is neither scarf nor hat!

A Mr. Rogers-type sweater for a rattlesnake?

I also can't tell what it's going to be (love the yarn though), but it would be a lot easy to do this if you were a normal right handed person.
