If we ever had to cut out cable, probably the one thing I'd miss most is Anthony Bourdain's show travel food show, No Reservations (if there's two things I'd miss most, it would be Golden Girls reruns). If you've never seen the show, "Uncle Tony" travels around the world sampling the cuisine. Instead of going to the fancy, ritzy "in" restaurants, he eats the truly yummy stuff--local delicacies served with love by regular people. He accomplishes this with a fair share of drinking, smoking, swearing and sarcasm.
Last night Bourdain's book tour for Medium Raw stopped in Seattle. He was, of course, hilarious. This wasn't the first time I've seen him speak, but it WAS the first time they announced he would be signing books and taking pictures after the show. Yes, it was late, and I'm sure he was tired, and this is an entirely forced promo meeting, and we had to use our phone cameras because we didn't bring a real one, but whatEVER. The point is, we "met" Anthony Bourdain!
