Still. Snowing.

Over the last few days we've accumulated 8 inches of snow. I can't even remember the last time I've seen this much snow west of the mountains. It's not even soggy Seattle slush, but a nice fine powder that's sticking around (although it's already 30 today so it may be melting soon). Craziness, I tell you!

This is our very scientific snow measurement system. It was at about 6 inches when I took this picture.

Ryan had to clear a potty spot for the dogs. This is after the second shoveling, when we had about 6 inches. He had to clear it out one more time so that they could go potty before bed--and I practically had to force them outside for that.

The dogs have mixed feelings about the snow. They don't like it when it's actually coming out of the sky, and they didn't like it yesterday when the top was actually a thin layer of ice. This morning, though, they didn't seem to mind trooping through 8 fine, powdery inches of snow.

Harry is such a good boy that if you call his name to take a picture he immediately runs over to see what you want. So I have a lot of pictures of him that look like this:

That's not so much a problem with Logo. It took several minutes of me standing in the snow like an idiot calling "Logo. Logo!" to peel her attention away from the cars skidding through the 4-way stop long enough to take this picture of her up to her hocks in snow. The annoyed look on her face is not from the snow, but the fact that I was distracting her from the task at hand.
