To get in the Halloween spirit we had mac n' spider dogs--I forgot to take pictures, though, so you'll have to use your imaginations.
Then we set to work on our pumpkins. We couldn't decide what to do so we finally agreed on an abstract design. Amazingly, no fingers were lost in the carving of this pumpkin.
As we carved the dogs circled because they L-O-V-E pumpkin. We rewarded them with some pumpkin snacks when we were done, then went outside for the big reveal:

SHUT UP. My pirate pumpkin lost his eye and I had to perform surgery. It had been so long since Chris carved a pumpkin he didn't remember how to do it and my dog REFUSED to eat the pumpkin or even dignify it with a sniff of the nose. (But that goes for all food but dog food and his special dog bones... strangest dog ever.)
